IMPORTANT VISIT OF EXPERTS ON ASPARAGUS |
|
On Wednesday 28 October we were visited by nearly thirty experts in the growing of asparagus, coming from countries like England, Japan and France, who were impressed when meeting the high standards of quality with which Danper works. The delegation is taking part in the XII INTERNATIONAL ASPARAGUS SYMPOSIUM (IAS 2009 by its initials in English) event held every four years by bringing together the most out-standing scientists and agricultural businessmen in the world linked with this growing, which this time is carried out in Lima, organized by the IPEH (Peruvian Asparagus and Vegetable Institute). The researchers visited the plant that pack the asparagus and the artichoke, and then moved to Compositán farm, where they could see the field work, especially the care that the company performs in different stages of the growth of the asparagus. On having finished their visit the out-standing visitors highlighted that they had a lot to learn, especially in relation to the phenological care, to the use of the water resource and to the aspect of nutrition of the plant, that despite growing in the full desert is part of an agricultural system of great productivity and high quality. It has been a great surprise to meet the high standards of quality that Danper has – said Kuninori Matsunaga, of Pioneer Ecoscience Co. Ltd. - I have seen that they perform an admirable work and the international certifications that the company has are a reward to the effort and a guarantee anywhere in the world, I did not think to find that". Hernán Figueroa, Head of Production, said that this visit is of great importance for the country since it allows that local professionals could exchange knowledge and experiences with technical experts from other latitudes. "Despite coming from more developed countries they have remained impressed of our production processes as well as our work in the area of human resources, field where Danper has an indisputable leadership, as a socially responsible company". |
