DANPER'S WORKER GETS PRIZE OF THE AGRICULTURE MINISTRY

“I can not believe that such a simple thing had deserved a prize”, repeated Fredy, happy and proud after receiving the prize in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Ismael Benavides, without dropping the box that was containing the trophy. “I just wanted to do something to improve, something simple, something plain, because the company makes a lot for us and then that is a way of giving something good, carrying out with our work and trying to see what can be improved”. Fredy Roland Castro is a Maintenance worker, author of the project “Optimization of the water consumption and reduction of costs by changing of valve model in hygienization chamber of industrial plants”, that achieved the Prize “Innovation of Worker or Equipment of Plant” in the Contest “Excellence in the Agroexportation”.
With this project, an annual saving generates in valves, water consumption (preservation of water resources), reduction of downtimes and maintenance cost, of approximately $30,657.

After receiving the Prize, the General Manager, Mrs Rosario Bazán, expressed her satisfaction for this recognition, but indicated that “the main prize is not the won trophy but the quality of our workers who day by day put in a lot of effort and help us to improve our production levels with the greatest quality, working with enthusiasm and affection, because this is the way we will be able to grow our Perú”.

Already in the plant, the Engineer Javier Gilardi, Manager of The Plant, emphasized the importance that workers present their observations and improvement proposals, to channel them as projects and contribute to the processes improvement and of the company on the whole. “Everything can be done better”, indicated, “but we need you to help us”. With the workers contribution developed 23 projects of constant improvement last year, 82% of the process plant areas participated and a saving of $94,414 in the operations was achieved. 48% of the projects received are referred to productivity increase, 36% to the reduction in the generation of solid waste, 12% to the reduction of energy comsumption and 4% for other issues.
